The First Course in Cameron Park Has Been Installed

There is a new course in Cameron Park.  Located in the nature area between Camerado Springs Middle School and Blue Oak Elementary School, it is a small putt and approach course designed for children, but enjoyable for adults.  The course is only available for play when school is not in session. School days after 3 p.m., and weekends. No smoking or alcohol is allowed on campus.  The course went in on Friday, April 27.
Baskets are in, tee pads are constructed and the course is already being played. Jason Smith worked with the PE class over the last couple of weeks to do all the tee pad work and getting signage and sleeves in the ground, and Mike and Jason dropped baskets on Friday, April 27.
The course is in the back of the school in the nature area. Take the stairs up from the basketball courts to find hole #1. There is also an entrance to the nature area at the back of the school at approximately 2500 Country Club Drive next to the Cameron Park Library.  This entrance will put you near hole #8’s tee.
We also want to give a huge shout out to Scott Pierri and the staff of the Camerado Springs Middle School for allowing us the opportunity to showcase disc golf at their school. And a huge shout out to the student who helped with the construction and installation and who will be the future ambassadors of our sport.

We will be planning an official grand opening in the future after school restarts and will make an announcement when that is ready.
